Yağmur Nuhrat

Yağmur Nuhrat is a cultural anthropologist whose work centres on negotiations of everyday ethics in diverse social sites including sports, education, and urban life in Turkey. Her football research has also focused on gendered, affective, linguistic, urban, and national claims. She obtained her doctorate at Brown University and is currently Associate Professor at the Department of Sociology at Istanbul Bilgi University. She has published articles in journals like American Anthropologist, American Ethnologist, Mobilities, Sport in Society and Senses & Society. Nuhrat lives and works in Istanbul.
