Characterized by her feminist practice, in which the body is understood as the most intimate political space, Tanja Ostojić initiates the artistic research project Changed by Water (2024) currently presented in the exhibition Forgive us our Trespasses / Vergib uns unsere Schuld. Through daily acts of swimming, Ostojić seeks connection with water in official and unofficial bathing spots in Berlin—a method of soothing the effects of hormonal changes that occur during menopause. In this activation, the artist continues embroidering Changed by Water, her menopausal swimming calendar, as a gesture that testifies to the healing power of water, while also providing space to exchange on the often shrouded topic of menopause.
