This listening session with Julianknxx focuses on a sonic tapestry of poetry, films, and other work that has shaped Julian’s vision and artistic practice. In what ways has poetry been an echo for a Black social fabric, one that transcends individuality and embraces a collective performance of Blackness? In this session, Julianknxx centres Black social life and how these lived experiences manifest in diasporic cities. What does it mean to be alive? What does aliveness look like in the Black diaspora? And what does it mean to dream?
