Keleketla Media Arts Project: Keleketla! Library is an arts archive, educational workshop, and performance space in Johannesburg, founded in 2008 by Malose Malahlela and Rangoato Hlasane. For their project Skaftien #6: 13km-and-more Radius from the Drill Hall Arts Advocacy Project, HKW serves as a vital laboratory and public interface, as well as a local hub for reaching other parts of Germany and Europe in seeking and building partnerships. The visitation residency at HKW is rooted in conversations in the realm of sonic practices and diplomatic institution building, which aim to strengthen the relationship between South Africa and Germany and explore points of collaboration with the City of Johannesburg towards the Drill Hall Arts Advocacy Project (DHAAP).

DHAAP is a long-term intervention that considers how praxis and case studies in the local, regional, and international spheres can repair, rehabilitate, and restore a single site in Johannesburg: the historic Drill Hall, a state-owned, municipality-neglected heritage site in Johannesburg, South Africa. Taking the site as a catalyst for rethinking cultural production in a holistic sense, the initiative enacts action based, multi-institutional practices that encompass architectural intervention, cultural programming, as well as sustainable models of funding and stakeholder liaison.

Aiming for multimodal conversations, the visitation engages stakeholders from across the cultural and diplomatic fields through Skaftien #6, a series of studies and actions culminating in key moments of reflection and sharing.
