This Ilê Aiyê dance workshop celebrates Afro-Brazilian heritage, fostering a deep connection with the Dance of Afro Blocos. Led by Larissa Valeria, the Queen of Ilê Aiyê in 2024, participants are immersed in the vibrant mosaic of Bahia’s cultural rhythms, including foxé, samba-reggae, and timbalada. This dance form serves as a powerful mode of expression, embodying ancestral memory.

Participants are invited to embrace the rituals of the body that are rooted in these Afro-Brazilian practices  with focus on  the sense of liberation that can be experienced in free dance. Through fluid movement, dancers reconnect with their roots, paying homage to the Orixás integrating rhythms into bodily harmony.

Unfortunately, the workshop is fully booked! New registrations will be put on our waitlist. Please note that participation is only possible upon receiving confirmation via e-mail.
