Anthony Owosekun (he/him) is the founder of the non-profit organisation EMPOCA, which connects young Black people with nature in order to inspire them to protect the environment. After studying social work, he decided to become an experiential educator. He has also worked as a teacher and school social worker. As an educational consultant, he regularly leads training courses on racism-sensitive and empowering learning spaces for educators in schools, youth welfare, and leisure centres. He also teaches as a guest lecturer at the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences on the topic of nature-based social work. Owosekun lives in Berlin and works nationwide.
