Atefeh Kheirabadi is an experimental filmmaker and media artist. She conducts research at the interface of the practice of experimental film and participatory critical film formats. In her film projects, she attempts to create spaces for encounters in which participants develop foundations for participatory involvement, spaces of resistance and new perspectives for action for themselves as individuals and for groups through artistic engagement with image, sound and time. Kheirabadi directed the films 7+1 Fragmente (2022) and Kommen und Gehen (2020). She lives and works in Berlin.
