Barby Asante

Barby Asante (1971, London) is an artist and researcher making collaborative and performative works that explore memory, storytelling, and the politics of place, using a decolonial Black feminist lens that draws upon Akan Adinkra symbology and philosophical principles to consider ways to undo the persistent legacies of slavery and coloniality. She lives and works in London.
