Idris Youssouf Elmi

Idris Youssouf Elmi is a consultant, lecturer, writer, and publisher. He was previously a teacher from Primary Education to Higher Education. As researcher in Sociolinguistics and Educational Sciences, he directed the Institute of Languages and Cultures at the Center for Research Studies in Djibouti. He also served the Ministry of Communication and Culture, responsible for Post and Telecommunication, as Deputy Minister before joining UNESCO for a decade. Today, as the founder of Deeqsan Publishing, he publishes works in African languages, in addition to French, English, and Arabic. Elmi lives and works in Djibouti.
