Lizette Nin
Lizette Nin (1984, Jimaní, Dominican Republic) is a Black/queer Dominican artist who lives between Barcelona and Santo Domingo. Her work explores autobiographical aspects and her Afro-descendant roots, aiming to bring visibility to marginalized social groups and struggles. She has been involved in various projects, including a scholarship at MACBA Barcelona that focused on archival research of queer political movements. Her recent exhibitions include: El Robo del Dolor, Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, Santiago de Chile, 2023; Proyecto ECO, Centro de la Imagen de México, Mexico City, 2022; Exterior/Interior, Fundació Suñol, Barcelona, 2022; and Si las palabras hablaran, Fundación Sandretto, Madrid, 2022.
