Mariama Diagne is a dance and theatre scholar, affiliated with the collaborative research center Intervening Arts (CRC 1512) at Freie Universität Berlin. In her work she investigates the intertwining of theory and practice and sets her focus on questions regarding subalternized perspectives and practices on (de/re)canonizations, respectively with a notion of new learning. As a freelance dramaturge, she accompanies artists in performance and text (among others at Ballhaus Naunynstraße Berlin) in the context of anti-colonial post-migrant perspectives. She is the author of Schweres Schweben (2019). Diagne lives and works in Berlin.
