Mehrad Sepahnia

Mehrad Sepahnia is an experimental filmmaker and artist. He trained as a film director at the Iranian Youth Cinema Society in Shahrud and as a media designer for image and sound at the Cimdata Media Academy in Berlin. His films consist of a transformation of gestures, narrative forms, and staged elements that question oppression and patriarchy. In his work, he focuses on cinematic design and his aesthetics as a form of expression of disobedience. Together with Atefeh Kheirabadi, he produces films and runs artistic workshops with children and young people. Sepahnia lives and works in Berlin.
