Oscar Murillo (1986, La Paila, Colombia) is an artist. He holds a BA (Hons) in Fine Arts from the University of Westminster and an MA from the Royal College of Art, London. In 2019, Murillo was one of four artists to be awarded the Turner Prize. Recent and upcoming exhibitions include: Together in Our Spirits, Serralves Museum, Porto, 2023; Frequencies at Javett UP, Pretoria, 2023; Indigo Waves and Other Stories: Re-Navigating the Afrasian Sea and Notions of Diaspora, Gropius Bau and SAVVY Contemporary, Berlin, 2023; To Begin Again: Artists and Childhood, ICA Boston, 2022; and A Storm Is Blowing From Paradise, Scuola Grande della Misericordia, Venice, 2022. Murillo lives and works in various locations.
