Sara Schurmann

Sara Schurmann is a freelance journalist, author, and journalism trainer. She has worked as an editorial manager, copywriter, and consultant for Tagesspiegel, Gruner+Jahr, Vice, Zeit Online, funk, and SWR, among others. She previously attended the Henri Nannen School of Journalism in Hamburg. She is co-founder of the Netzwerk Klimajournalismus Deutschland and was voted Science Journalist of the Year in 2022 by the jury of Medium magazine. She is the author of the book Klartext Klima (2022) and has been writing about the climate crisis and options for action as a columnist for T-Online since January 2024. Schurmann lives and works in Berlin.
