Tara Habibzadeh

Tara Habibzadeh (they/them) is a post-medium artist, philosopher, and art director born and raised in Tehran. With an academic background in film, mathematics, law, and philosophy, Habibzadeh’s work thinks in analogies and metaphors of complex systems and layers, using the triviales while challenging the eurocentric, colonial, and orientalist binaries with scientific and universal methods. Their varied works include video, painting, installations, performance, video games, and words. Habibzadeh lives and works in Berlin and Tehran.
