The 2024 edition of the Berlin Art Book Festival & Fair hosts more than 340 exhibitors making it the largest and most diverse edition so far. This year’s focus on afrofeminist and queer voices continues the shared exploration into decolonizing Art Book Fairs, in collaboration with artist and curator Anguezomo Mba Bikoro.

The MISS READ fair is accompanied by a three-day public programme of lectures, discussions, performances, and book launches, examining the boundaries of contemporary publishing and the possibilities of the book. On Saturday, 12 October, the annual Conceptual Poetics Day explores the imaginary border between visual art and literature.

In 2024 MISS READ is working together once again with lumbung radio to produce a one-week radio and on-site programme at the MISS READ Space in Wedding (4-10 October) and at HKW (11-13 October). The events are open to the public and will be streamed on missread.com/radio.

Founded in 2009, MISS READ is dedicated to building a community and creating a public meeting place for discourse around artists’ books, conceptual publications and publishing as artistic and political practice. The festival is committed to broaden the spectrum of what publishing represents and aims to nurture different cultures and communities from around the world.
