Ewondo vocalist Alima Pélagie, daughter of the Fang-Beti people from Cameroon who migrated south and west from the Sanaga River basin into equatorial forest regions, follows the traditions of storytelling carried in Cameroon’s Mvett philosophies of the narrative, the tale, the epic, and the poetic. Alima takes us through the stories that enriched and empowered her people but also the ones that oppressed them for ages.  During this gesture, Tara Mba, immortal guardian of the Ekang traditions and mythologies, is celebrated and called for blessings.
