Gülcan Nitsch is a biologist, managing partner of Yeşil Çember - ökologisch interkulturell gGmbH, guest lecturer at Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development and fellow in the international Ashoka network. Her work focuses on environmental education for migrant communities, intercultural network building and dialogue design as well as intercultural consulting for German environmental actors. Among other honours, she has received the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany and the Berlin Nature Conservation Award. Nitsch lives and works in Berlin.
